Ashoka U Adds Five New Schools To Changemaker Campus Program

As the field of social entrepreneurship has grown, there have been an increasing number of people trying to get training for future change leaders into universities and high schools around the country. One of the leaders of this movement is the Ashoka U Changemaker Campus program, started last year and designed to help students become agents for change on their own campus and abroad.

Yesterday, Ashoka U announced that five new schools would join the program, bringing the total schools involved with the program to ten. The new schools, Babson College, Colorado University at Boulder, College of the Atlantic, The New School, and Tulane University represent a diverse set of educational approaches and backgrounds that make them great additions to the program.

Babson is perhaps more dedicated to entrepreneurship of all forms than any other undergraduate community in the country. CU Boulder has a flare for the avant garde and the do-it-yourselfers. The College of the Atlantic in Bar Harbor, Maine opens it's doors to some incredible international student (a number of whom have participated in our Global Engagement Summit at Northwestern University). The New School was founded to offer a different approach to teaching and Tulane has more passion and spirit for rebuilding and social innovation than just about anywhere in the world.

Join me in welcoming these new groups to Ashoka's exciting program. I know I can't wait to see what they build.
