Buddhist Monks Freak Out Over Female Ordination

In the Land Down Under, a Theravada Buddhist temple affiliated with Thailand recently gained two female monks. And the Thai forest monks aren't happy about it.

Western Australian Spiritual Director Ajahn Brahm was swiftly excommunicated for his transgression against misogyny by ordaining the women. His critics want stricter Thai control over their Western forest temples to keep such a horrible thing from occurring again.

They fear that this could set a precedent -- and before they know what's happening, it'll be raining women monks! And there's no cover in a forest.

Thumbs down for discrimination. You'd think these Buddhist monks would have heard of karma.
