Change.org on Air America Live

by Shannon Moriarty · 2009-04-16 19:08:00 UTC

Earlier this week, I had a great chat with Nicole Sandler on Air America Live. (Yes, the interview was Monday and I'm just posting this now... it's been a busy week!)

We discussed a few disturbing trends regarding America's homeless population, like the prevalence of foster children on the streets, the increasing incidence of violent crimes against the homeless, and homelessness among veterans.

If you feel so inclined to listen to the interview, the podcast is available here. The show aired 4/13/09 in the second hour.

Many thanks to Nicole for having me on the show and bringing the conversation about homelessness to the airwaves.

Shannon Moriarty has worked in various homeless shelters and service organizations around the country. She is a graduate student studying housing and urban policy at Tufts University.
