Clinton Addresses Palestinian Suffering

Ryan Grimm at Huffpo writes about Clinton's performance in DC today. Apparently, she put the words "Palestinian" and "suffering" in the same sentence:

Mainstream American politicians are famously reluctant to utter the
words "suffering" and "Palestinian" in the same sentence. By breaking
from that tradition, Clinton appeared to send a signal to Israel that
that it would not have a free hand to operate in the Middle East.

On the one hand, it's nice to hear mainstream political figures affirm that Palestinians are human and have legitimate interests, such as not being starved or have death from above rained on them. On the other, these are political hearings, more or less with a predetermined outcome. Is it just empty political posturing? Time will tell.
