a standard light bulb turned on against a black backgroundLast year, change.org initiated the Ideas for Change project, which many of you participated in. The final top 10 ideas included some enormously important ones, but the idea that was of most direct impact to the autism community, Fully Fund Medicaid Waivers for the Developmentally Disabled, did not make it.

So I was enormously excited to learn today that a community has been set up for advancing that item. For anyone who didn't get the change.org newsletter that announced it,

Due to popular demand, we just launched new communities for each of the ideas that were voted into the final round of the Ideas for Change in America competition but didn't make the Top 10. Many of these ideas have large bases of passionate supporters, and over the past two months thousands of voters have asked us to create a space for them to continue the conversation around each idea and collectively work to find concrete solutions.

How can we make use of this new community space to organize, promote, and advance this idea into reality?
