Great news! Judy Chu - who was interviewed here at Change.org only a few weeks ago - has won the Democratic nomination for California's 32nd Congressional District, beating Democrat state Sen. Gil Cedillo and political newcomer Emanuel Pleitez. She will face Betty Tom Chu and Libertarian Christopher M. Agrella in a runoff on July 14.

Read all about it over at the Los Angeles Times:

"I'm really excited, and I feel so honored by the votes of the people in the district," Judy Chu said at her victory party at Nick's Taste of Texas restaurant in Covina as the ballot tallying neared an end.

Chu still has the run-off in July ahead of her, but she is favored to win the heavily Democratic district located in the Los Angeles area. So, it looks like we'll be keeping another female face in Congress after Hilda Solis vacated CA-32 when she became Secretary of the Department of Labor for the Obama administration earlier this year.
