Paul Polak is the founder of International Development Enterprises and author of the recent book "Out of Poverty: What Works When Traditional Approaches Fail." For years, Paul has been working with poor farmers and has come to believe that "practical solutions to extreme poverty can only come from listening to poor people themselves, not the army of poverty experts in the world." IDE puts that idea into practice by working with farmers in places like Ethiopia and Bangladesh to design low-cost income generating products and businesses.
