Gift from Aid to Artisans

It was my first day back in the office after a mini-holiday break and it was a bit rough jumping back into work and back to the grind. One thing that was making it rough was that I kept referring to the calendar on my wall and kept getting thrown off because I still haven't updated to a 2009 calendar. Pretty thrown off. So, I check my inbox later in the day and see a special gift from Aid to Artisans. A gift? But my birthday was yesterday.

Aid to Artisans is offering a downloadable electronic calendar bursting with color and the faces of the artisans they have worked with throughout the years. It's like they knew I needed help keeping track of my 2009.

Aid to Artisans (ATA) is an international non-profit organization that has been a leader of economic development for the craft industry. Their goal for over thirty years has been to

[Link] artisans to new markets and buyers to culturally meaningful and innovative products, ATA provides needed economic opportunities to artisans while preserving the beauty of global handmade crafts.

They have helped artisans from Peru, Ghana, India and South Africa to name a few to become self-sustaining and have been able to connect different cultures through crafts. Join me and download the calendar and watch the Fair Trade months unfold.
