You've seen me link to Suicide Food a few times before. On those occasions, it's been to direct you to one of their latest analyses of the Suicide Food phenomenon, their latest take on the bizarre way animal products are advertised. From the blog:

What is Suicide Food? Suicide Food is any depiction of animals that act as though they wish to be consumed. Suicide Food actively participates in or celebrates its own demise. Suicide Food identifies with the oppressor. Suicide Food is a bellwether of our decadent society. Suicide Food says, “Hey! Come on! Eating meat is without any ethical ramifications! See, Mr. Greenjeans? The animals aren’t complaining! So what's your problem?” Suicide Food is not funny.

Today, on this second anniversary of Suicide Food, I send you to a rare image-free post covering what Suicide Food must deal with from the offended and offensive: "Anatomy of a Scandal, a digression." The barbecue-obsessed community is to Suicide Food what the hunting community is to this blog, I think; my posts on hunting have resulted in similar patterns.
