Tonight, from 7pm EST through 9am EST, the Homeless Marathon is taking over the American airwaves. For 14 hours straight, over 100 radio stations across the country will carry an array of stories, policy updates, and conversations surrounding homelessness in the United States.

Curious yet? Just check out this broadcast schedule to see the topics the broadcast will cover: LGBT homeless youth, how to feed yourself and others from a dumpster, "Nickelsville", and a panel of people losing their homes on the Gulf Coast.

Here's an excerpt from HomelessMarathon.org:

"This will be the first national examination of the poverty, as opposed to just the debris, left behind in Katrina's wake," comments Jeremy Weir Alderson, the Homelessness Marathon's director. "We will be gathering the poor and desperate people of the Gulf coast, so they can tell their stories directly to America.

Additionally, many experts who will also appear on the broadcast, including three national experts who will be flying to Mississippi for the broadcast. These are Paul Boden, Director of the Western Regional Advocacy Project; Cheri Honkala, Director of the Poor People's Economic Human Rights Campaign; and Jeremy Rosen, Director of the National Policy and Advocacy Council on Homelessness.

The clock is ticking, so tune now. You can listen online or see if your local radio station is carrying the broadcast.
