Julie Neumann to Guest Blog at Change.org

I am very excited to announce Julie Neumann who will be joining the ranks of Dorothee, Shel, Allison, and Loryn as a guest blogger here at Change.org covering body image issues. Julie and I had a wonderful conversation about her experiences in this subject matter as well as her dedication to sharing her insights with others who might be challenged by eating disorders and how important it is to discuss these topics as they relate to feminism. She will be writing once a week on Wednesday, so make sure to check in on her posts then!

Here's a little more background on Julie: She was raised on the frozen tundra known as Chicago, and currently works as a web editor and freelance writer in sunny Austin. She studied creative writing and economics at Vanderbilt and has a master's in journalism from the University of Texas. She is also a graduate of The Ranch eating disorder treatment program. A recovering bulimic and anorexic, she is especially interested in the relationship between body image, pop culture and the media. In her spare time she takes pictures and chases her dog.
