Let Live and AR2009: Last-Minute Plug and a Fee/Banquet Reminder

I mentioned the Let Live NW Animal Rights Conference a few weeks ago in my Conferencing for Animal Rights in 2009 post and failed to remind you again as it approached--it's this weekend! So if you're in the Portland area, hopefully you're going. Sadly, I can't be there, so make sure to tell everyone I said hi, take lots of pictures, and report back!

Also remember that this year's Animal Rights National Conference is fast-approaching too (July 16-20, Los Angeles). And if you register by the end of June, you'll get a $20 discount off the fee (see the "Want to Save?" section of the registration page for more info on that topic). Those who have already registered should also keep in mind that tickets for the Saturday night banquet must be purchased ahead of time; you can go back and do that on the registration page too.

If you need another incentive to attend AR2009, consider that you'll have the option of snickering at my rusty public-speaking skills if you attend the panel in which I'll be participating, on using online spaces for animal rights advocacy, as individuals and as a movement; afterward, you can mock me mercilessly for how many times I nervously laughed or said "um."
