LunaFest: Short Films By, For and About Women

One of the most important ideas I took away from Fem2.0 this week was that it's extremely important for all of us to support art and media created by women. LUNAFEST, a traveling short film festival provides the perfect venue to kick-start this commitment!

LUNAFEST is a traveling short film festival "by, for and about women" that will visit 150+ cities throughout the U.S. and Canada and screen in front of over 25,000 people. 100 percent of all proceeds are donated to charity – 15 percent to the Breast Cancer Fund and the remaining 85 percent of proceeds go directly back to hosting community organizations.

Here's a clip from the LUNFEST selection "34x25x36", a documentary about mannequins, perfection, and religion.

Another short from the festival is "My First Crush" by Julia Pott:

Check out the calendar to see when LUNAFEST is coming to a city near you.
