Today's International Herald Tribune reports about two people being killed Friday night at a self-help group for adults on the autism spectrum at a therapy center in Vienna. Three men and two women met weekly for the group.

...... [a] 29-year-old [man] briefly left the group Friday evening and returned half an hour later wearing a mask and carrying two guns.

He fired multiple shots at the woman while the other group members fled to another room. Seper says the man then shot himself. The others group members were unharmed.

This is minimal information and I prefer to discuss this case with a great deal of restraint before knowing more. But I suspect that speculation will center on what the man's being on the autism spectrum might have had to do with this incident. And is this even the question that should be asked?
