More Violence: Actress & Model Found Dead in Los Angeles

This is terribly upsetting. Yet another case of violence against women has hit the newsstands. Except this time, the woman was found dead and her boyfriend has been charged with murder and torture:
A 31-year-old woman who was found dead in her apartment has been identified as former actress and model, Felicia Lee, who worked under the name Felicia Tang.
Police found Lee dead Friday in the apartment she shared with her boyfriend in the 500 block of West Duarte Road.
She had been beaten and suffocated, detectives said.
Her boyfriend, self-styled preacher and realty star Brian Lee Randone, has been charged with murder and torture.
He is being held in lieu of $2 million bail.
Lee, 31, appeared in a number of adult movies and photo shoots.
While this takes on a different extreme compared with Tila Tequila's case the two are connected in a disturbing way: both women are bisexual, both work in the adult film industry and the two women are considered friends.
After watching the conversation about Tila's case unfold in the media, it has become very clear that when abuse happens to women who don't fit into the typical puritanical mold, they are ostracized by the public, the media and often, the justice system.
It's important to remind ourselves that victims of domestic violence may not always be wives, secretaries or young, helpless girls. Victims of domestic violence have many different faces and it's important that the criminal justice system is there for everyone - no matter their sexuality, their job description or how they present themselves to the world. The bottom line is: no one deserves to be hit, raped, abused, or murdered.
The violence needs to stop.
