Nominate Your Favorite "40 Under 40" Female for NLC Award

June 3rd is the last day to nominate a friend, colleague or mentor to the "40 Under 40" Awards given out by New Leaders Council (an organization I volunteer for), which plans to identify the top young progressive political entrepreneurs and celebrate the awards at six events in five cities across the nation during the week of June 22 - 26.

If you think someone should be nominated, make sure to fill out the nomination form here.

You can nominate the individual based on the following categories, or create your own:

  • Renewable Energy Independence Award
  • Environmental Protection Award
  • Immigration Rights
  • Education Award
  • Health Care Award
  • National Security Award
  • Women's Issues Award
  • Support of the Gay and lesbian Community Award
  • Working Family Leader Award
  • Voice For The Voiceless Award

The final date to send in nominations is tomorrow so please take a few minutes to register a name - it's a pretty simple process - and it would be great to have a lot of women nominated for the various awards.

NLC will celebrate the recipients of the awards with ceremonies in Boston, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, and Washington DC. You can buy tickets to those events here: http://newleaderscouncil.org/
