Obama's Rick Warren Mea Culpa

V. Gene RobinsonSo they're saying that this was planned well before an invitation was ever offered to Rick Warren to lead the convocation at President-Elect Barack Obama's Inauguration next Tuesday.  Word out today is that openly gay Episcopalian Bishop, V. Gene Robinson, will kick off the whole Inauguration shebang on Sunday, with a prayer at the Lincoln Memorial.

Robinson's words:

I am writing to tell you that President-Elect Obama and the Inaugural Committee have invited me to give the invocation at the opening event of the Inaugural Week activities, We are One, to be held at the Lincoln Memorial.

The smoothness of the Obama administration is something I'm never ceased to be amazed with, David Broder's moronic ramblings aside.  Is this action enough to appease LGBT activists upset over Pastor Rick Warren's participation in the Inauguration?
