Oscar Nods to Immigration

by Dave Bennion · 2009-01-24 21:58:00 UTC

I noticed that three of the migration/diaspora movies I briefly profiled in my end-of-year movie list (spoiler alert) have been favored by the Oscar gods for nominations.

All three are worth watching, but I liked Slumdog the most.  And the nominating committee may have overlooked my favorites, Edge of Heaven and Let the Right One In, but you shouldn't replicate their mistake.
