Many of us are very pleased that Obama has lived up to his commitment to prioritize Middle East peacemaking. Appointing George Mitchell as mediator is an excellent sign of a major shift in US policy, argues Phyllis Bennis of the Institute for Policy Studies, a progressive think tank in Washington DC.

This is the first half of a talk given on February 1st at the Advocacy Training given by the Interfaith PeaceBuilders (IFPB). It's well worth watching.
