Planet in Peril Tonight

Here's your friendly reminder that Planet in Peril: Battle Lines airs tonight on CNN, at 9 p.m. ET/PT. My understanding, despite the frustrations I expressed a few days ago about other matters (see "Planet in Peril--and Denial?"), is that the program provides some compelling coverage of issues facing human and nonhuman populations both (we know that at least dangers facing sharks, mountain gorillas, and African elephants will be covered).
And the following TVNewser tidbit gives me reason to feel optimistic about the program in general, even if animal issues don't turn out to be covered in the way I'd prefer. If some powerful corporations and individuals are going to be up in arms over the program, the latter surely does something right:
Within the next few days, CNN is expecting a big response from several corporations and individuals who may not be very happy with the way they are portrayed in the upcoming two-hour documentary, "Planet in Peril: Battle Lines."
"I expect them to, in a perfect world, to say 'we weren't really aware of what's going on, but we're going to do something about it,'" EP David Doss tells TVNewser following the premiere of "Planet in Peril" last night at the Time Warner Center. "Or I think we'll probably hear from the attorneys from other companies. That's the range."
