We almost have a date and time for Charlie's IEP (later this week......)----one more resource is the IEP Goal Bank from Bridges4Kids. The IEP Goal Bank lists specific goals in a number of categories, including Mathematics, Functional Academics, Independent Living, Speech and Language, Vocational/Career Education. Even if you don't use any of the actual goals, seeing how they are worded and how to articulate mastery criteria, etc., is very helpful as you put together goals for your own child.

Certainly we review each and every one of the goals set down in Charlie's draft IEP carefully----remember, you don't have to sign the IEP immediately. Take it home and read it; set it aside, sleep on it, talk about it with those who've been there or are themselves going through the IEP process---'tis the season.
