A twitter bird just told me that UK-based grocery chain, Tesco is going to stop stocking Divine Chocolate on their shelves. What?!

Buying Divine Fairtrade chocolate is a sweet way to make a difference to the lives of cocoa farmers in Ghana.

However, if you shop at the UK’s biggest supermarket chain, it’s something you might not enjoy for long.

The signs are that Tesco is preparing to take Divine off some of its shelves – and with it the hopes of thousands of cocoa farmers, their families and their entire communities.

I've spoken at great lengths about how amazing Divine Chocolate is (perhaps my favorite Milk Chocolate out there) and the inspiring story of the Kuapa Kokoo Cooperative that not only farm and harvest the cacao, but they also have a hand in the ownership of the company. So why is the largest grocery chain in UK trying to take them off the shelves? I don't know either, so the organization, Christian Aid, has started a petition to get Tesco to continue to stock the Fair Trade chocolate.

All you have to do is download the postcard. Print out the postcard. Fill out all your information. Hand it to your nearest branch of Tesco.

So, yes. This means that only those living near a Tesco in the UK is able to participate in this petition to keep Divine on the shelves, so I urge all those Fair Traders in the UK to participate in this action and to get all your friends to join in as well. The thousands of Kuapa Kokoo farmers will thank you. Christian Aid's efforts have paid off in the past when they had a petition to get Divine chocolate stocked in another grocery store called Sainsbury. Now they are bringing the postcards back out and hoping to use this petition to keep Divine on the shelves of Tesco. Use your consumer power and spread the word!
