Students Against Hunger and Homelessness Annual Conference

Mark your calendars! The National Student Campaign Against Hunger and Homelessness has announced details for their 2009 Annual Conference. Resolve 2009 will be held November 5th through 8th at Loyola University at Chicago.
This year's conference is particularly exciting, since the sponsor organization will be launching the Resolve to Fight Poverty -- a national student movement to alleviate poverty in communities across the country. In addition, participants will hear the latest on the homelessness and hunger issues, learn the skills to take action, and network and build alliances.
The mission of the Campaign (as they're called for short) is to end hunger and homelessness in America by educating, engaging, and training students to directly meet individuals' immediate needs while advocating for long-term systemic solutions. Now there's an idea we can all get behind, no?
Registration is now available online. Fees are extremely student-budget friendly and free housing is available (think couches, floor space, etc.). Also, organizers are still on the hunt for workshop presenters, so why not submit a proposal today?
Still have questions? Read about last year's conference or get in touch with the conference organizers.
No individuals can single-handedly alleviate poverty and homelessness. We have to communicate and work together. This is a great opportunity for student leaders from across the U.S. to become informed and connected to the greater efforts to tackle these tough issues.
