Daniel Lubetzky is a serial entrepreneur who has built companies and movements. His time is split between his work with PeaceWorks Ltd. From their website:

Since its beginnings in 1994, PeaceWorks Holdings LLC has been a business that pursues both profit and peace. We pursue profit through our sales of healthful food products that are produced by neighbors on opposing sides of political or armed conflicts, whose cooperative business ventures we facilitate.

Some of the profits are used to support the OneVoice Movement working to bring together moderate Palestinian and Israeli voices for a two-state solution to the conflict.

Maybe the most interesting part of this interview is Daniel's strong response to my question about private enterprise and peace building. He asserts that the government (backed by movements of citizens) has an essential role in ending conflict that cannot be substituted.

Nathaniel Whittemore is the founder of Assetmap. Previously he was the founding director of the Northwestern University Center for Global Engagement.
