Paul Carttar's work is to build a more effective nonprofit sector. Having years of management consulting experience under his belt, Paul helped found Bridgespan nonprofit consulting group. For the last year or so, he's been work with venture philanthropy group New Profit, which makes investments in high impact, scalable organizations. In this interview, Paul shares some incredibly insightful thoughts about the pressures of the new market situation and the opportunity to harness resource shortages to inspire more creativity and focus.

Nathaniel Whittemore is the founder of Assetmap. Previously he was the founding director of the Northwestern University Center for Global Engagement.
