Tell Congress: Don't Cut Funds for National Service!

Courtesy of Equal Justice Works, I see that Congress is planning to fund the Kennedy Serve America Act at less than the full amount President Obama requested.  As we wrote during its passage, the Act more than triples the size of AmeriCorps, and creates a social innovation fund to explore and implement effective anti-poverty programs and community improvement programs.

As EJW points out, Congress's attempt to strip $90M from the $1b bill is the kind of thing that flies "under the radar" for us; we celebrate the Act's passage and move on, missing the reality that far fewer slots and programs can be created without the full funding required.
