It's the time of year when the folks at VegNews magazine ask all you animal-friendly folks to vote for your favorites of the year. Your favorite what, you ask? Everything. I've listed the many categories at the end of this post, but you'll have to go through the actual survey to see the nominees from which you can choose--and that's also where you can read more about some lovely prizes you'll be entered to win by voting.

"Nominees are based on the [companies, destinations, websites, etc.] receiving the most votes in the 2008 Veggie Awards™," VegNews explains, and you're encouraged to submit write-in votes where your own favorites may not be nominated, as your way of voting this year as well as putting in your two cents regarding next year's nominees.

Obviously, I've voted, but because it might be a bit rude of me to publicly endorse any person, site, or product in this instance, I'll keep my votes to myself. But I will say that the decision was difficult in several cases! My only advice: Just vote (by July 31) for what and whom you sincerely like best, admire most, or see as most effective. Don't let any Internet peer pressure get to ya'. ;)
