Some great stuff today, inlcuding a post from a new blog and and announcement that Google.org is shaking things up.

  • Happy Corporate Philanthropy Day: Jessica Stannard-Freil, a second year Harvard MBA, launched her blog Reimagining CSR just this month and is off to a monster start (although this is no surprise considering her past work with Future Leaders in Philanthropy). This post suggests that CSR needs to start from the very top in order to have clout through-out the organization.

  • Policy ideas to advance Social Entrepreneurship: Dallas Social Venture Partners Executive Director Stacy Caldwell provides a great roundup of the various social innovation and nonprofit sector support initiatives being floated by the new administration. Follow Stacy on Twitter @scaldwell

  • Google Chief for Charity Steps Down on Revamp: The New York Times writes about Google.org's announcement today that Larry Brilliant would be moving away from the role of Executive Director as the group refocuses its objectives on opportunities closer to Google's core competencies. More on this tomorrow.
