The Daily Entrepreneur: Weird Thursday

Whereas yesterday I was drowning in great social entrepreneurship content, today I'm hoping between puddles of (interesting but) unrelated madness. Enjoy!
- BREAKING: Beer No Longer Recession Proof: Statistical magician Nate Silver calls alarm to a disturbing trend - receding beer sales. He also points out that since all the major "American" beers are now owned by foreign companies (Sam Adams - to whom I'm distantly related - is literally now the largest American-owned beer), drinking microbrews is no longer just tastier, its more patriotic. If you're looking for a connection to social entrepreneurship, well we all need a break sometimes, right?
- Google SMS for Kenya: Via tweet from @whiteafrican, Google has launched SMS search for Kenyan Safaricom customers. This can open up information previously unavailable while on the go.
- Interviews with 38 Social Changemakers: 3rd Anniversary of the Big Vision Pocast: Social change and social media guru Britt Bravo (@bbravo) posts a great retrospective of all of the audio interviews she's done in the last few years including Van Jones, Paul Rice (CEO TransFair), and Christina Arnold (Founder, Prevent Human Trafficking).
