The Idea That Will Change the Criminal Justice System

Today we formally launched an exciting feature on change.org - Ideas for Change in America. It's a site built to give voice to your great ideas for the Obama administration. As  Obama prepares to take office, we want to make sure that the people are still the center of this Presidency. Here's how it works:

Submit your idea for change in the Obama administration, write a short summary (250 words or less).

In January, the top idea from each of 30 issue areas will go head-to-head in voting to whittle the list down to ten of your glimmering, can't-fail, must-have, doable ideas. We'll then work with our nonprofit partners to present these ten ideas to the Obama administration with a plan of action for each. Your ideas can change the world - so go submit one today.

So what's the idea that will change the criminal justice system? Is it legalizing marijuana? Providing alternatives to incarceration? Ending the death penalty?

The site has been up in beta for a couple of weeks, and we already have some great ideas floating around in the criminal justice section. I'll be featuring one idea each week in December, so get 'em up there.
