The Most Pathetic Thing About the Miss California Saga

Trump Carrie Prejean

Donald Trump ruled today that Miss California, Carrie Prejean, could keep her crown despite the fact that her boobs are all over the Internets.  Whatever.  I'm ready for Carrie Prejean's fifteen minutes to be up.  Topless photos aside, Miss California's continuous trashing of same-sex marriage is starting to harsh my mellow.

And it doesn't help that she now has Donald Trump doing her bidding when it comes to justifying marriage discrimination.  Here's what I think is the saddest part of the whole Miss California storyline, straight from the words of The Donald.  Trump had this to say about Carrie Prejean's opposition to same-sex marriage:

It's the same answer that the president of the United States gave.

That wouldn't be so painful to read if it weren't....well, true.  It's a bit of a harsh dose of reality that the progressive President of the United States, Barack Obama, is closer to Carrie Prejean on the issue of same-sex marriage than he is to the legislatures of Vermont or Maine.
