The Movement for LGBT Rights Needs a Theme Song

National Equality March Theme SongLet's see..."We Shall Overcome" has been used before. "Imagine" is a little too reflective than peppy. And "Talking About a Revolution" requires a singing audience on speed. What's an equal rights movement to do for a theme song?

Turn to the National Equality March, that's what. They've been taking entries to come up with a song to play during their October 10-11 rally in D.C., and they've got four finalists. And you get to vote for the winner.

The four song choices are:

  • “Courage of Conviction” by artist Julie Clark
  • “Equality” by artist Todd Fernandez
  • “Our Time Has Come” by artist Sean Chapin
  • “Stand For Love”  by artist Toby Madigan

The winner gets a ticket to D.C. to perform their song live on stage during the National Equality March. Got a favorite? Whether it's acoustic guitar or a little dance-like music, you'll find a favorite in these four.

Personally? It's "Stand for Love" for me. But they're all worthy. Vote here!
