The War Against Choice Continues

When will President Obama tell these religious fanatics to stop inciting acts of domestic terrorism against abortion providers for performing a completely LEGAL medical practice!?!

Read this from the Wichita Eagle about continued threats being made from Scott Roeder, the suspected murderer of Dr. George Tiller, from jail:

Abortion providers say that threats of more slayings from a man accused in the shooting death of a high-profile Kansas abortion doctor proves the existence of a "violent, terrorist movement" coalescing around the issue.

Scott Roeder called The Associated Press Sunday from the Sedgwick County jail, where he's being held on charges of first-degree murder and aggravated assault in the shooting death of Dr. George Tiller last week at the doctor's church in Wichita.

"I know there are many other similar events planned around the country as long as abortion remains legal," Roeder said. When asked by the AP if he was referring to another shooting, he refused to elaborate.

It wasn't clear whether Roeder knew of any impending violence or was simply seeking publicity for his cause. Law enforcement authorities, including the Justice Department, said they didn't know whether Sunday's comments were credible. And a leader of the anti-abortion movement derided the accused shooter as "a fruit and a lunatic."

Additionally, take a look at this video posted on Daily Kos that demonstrates just how far the religious right is willing to go in order to try and take choice away from women:

It baffles me that killing doctors over abortion makes any rational sense to those who consider themselves "pro-life." Additionally, I find it ironic and frightening that only MEN are the ones on stage telling their cult-like followers to murder abortion providers, when they will never have to make the personal decision about whether or not to give up a child.

When will this war on women end? We need the President to speak to the American public about these acts of domestic terrorism and deal with these criminals with the same fervor as we went after those in the Middle East.
