There Should be a FailBlog for Peace and Humanitarianism

Given the absurdity, silliness, and paradox, not to mention the spectacularly cinematic trips and falls, that sometimes plague field workers piloting peace and humanitarianism in crisis zones, perhaps it's about time they have their own hall of memories.

That is, to savor all those moments that were so tragic that later one has to laugh to keep from crying. It's one thing to have a bad day at work. Another to fail spectacularly. But yet another to fail so spectacularly that photos of your mistake must be shown to people to remind them not to do the same.

Like with Failblog.org, the tragedies themselves are not necessarily funny, of course. It's the post-game reflection. Take these examples sent to me from the Congo DR by "Anon"...

Maybe you've had your own share of rickshaw accidents or bizarre misunderstandings? My friends over at HELO Magazine (peace+war+music) are considering collecting these online, so if you'd like to share any, post them here on Change.org below this post or send them to the editors at Helo@Helo-Magazine.com.
