Top 3 Fair Trade Ideas
When the clock struck midnight PST ringing in 2009, it also marked the end of the the first round of voting for the Change.org's Ideas for Change in America competition. The top three ideas in each category have now qualified for for the final round of voting that is set to begin on January 5th. The top three ideas in Fair Trade that you will can vote for starting on Monday are ideas brought to you by Keith Rouda, April Thompson and Alex Steed.
Keith's idea to Replace Free Trade with Fair Trade, April's idea to Declare the White House a Fair Trade Zone and Alex's idea to Replace the South Lawn of the White House with an Organic Garden are all in the running to have their ideas presented at an event that Change.org will co-host with the National Press Club in Washington D.C. on January 16th. Plans will also be announced for supporting a formation of a national advocacy campaign behind each idea showcasing the real action can be taken on ideas by real people.
