Who Else Is In the Mood for Chocolate?

Yesterday, British chocolate giant Cadbury announced they were committing to Fair Trade Mark standards of quality for their Dairy Milk product line.  My colleague Zarah has more about this on her site.

This is a huge victory, not just for fair trade advocates, but also for children in Western Africa, where child trafficking in cocoa industries is rampant.  That Cadbury has embraced fair labor practices and committed to keeping their supply chains slavery-free will not only help free those children who may have been slaving away for the chocolate company before, but will hopefully inspire other corporations to follow suite.  My hope is that this decision will go a long way toward fighting trafficking in Africa and the Caribbean.

So if you've been looking for an excuse to buy some Cadbury Dairy Milk or one of those delicious-looking Cadbury eggs that are starting to show up in the grocery store, now you have it!  I highly reccomend the version with hazelnuts.
