I don't know the current numbers on how many eyeballs tune to satellite TV vs. internet video, but pushing your message into over tens of millions American homes that get their tube via satellite can't be a bad thing.

That's what a group of "youth" (young adult) climate activists involved with Fired Up Media have done by bootstrapping themselves into becoming professional television producers. Their first segment on the youth climate movement is part of EarthFocus9, embedded above and also available on the satellite TV channel LinkTV, which goes out to 31 million U.S. homes, according to Fired Up.

"With our next segment, we are getting more ambitious and are sending a team to UN climate negotiations, to tell the story of young people trying to build a global movement to build a sustainable world," according to the project's blog.

Good luck, Fired Up Media -- I'll be keeping an eye out for your reports from Poland over the next two weeks. (But please, add an author credit to your blog posts.)
